Lost In My Own World
for Unaccompanied Horn


"Lost In My Own World" is based primarily in the key of G (1.31-flat) major.

Using the 7th and 11th partials of the harmonic series, this solo normalizes "microtones" to such an extent that they sound consonant and stable while the standard chromatic pitches are more likely to sound dissonant and out of place.

Michael premiered "Lost In My Own World" at the 57th International Horn Symposium in June 2025.
