Boom
for Percussion Duet

"Boom" was composed in February 2014 for percussionist Zachary Singer.
It was premiered on April 6th, 2014 by Zachary Singer and Keith Hendricks.

While there are many subtle and nuanced aspects to being a percussionist,
clearly one of the biggest perks is the ability to play louder than anybody else can!!

This piece is intended to be gleefully and savagely blunt, and should be performed theatrically.

Instrumentation
Percussion 1:  Drum Set (shared with Perc. 2) + Woodblock + Bass Drum + Mahler Hammer
Percussion 2:  Hi-Hat + Slide Whistle + Drum Set (shared with Perc. 1)
